Robert Wilson – Architectural Director
Robert Wilson – Architectural Director
Bringing over 25 years’ residential and commercial experience, Robert is the Architectural Director at Granit. His portfolio of successful projects in London and beyond has given him a well-earned reputation for innovative design and problem-solving. He makes a point of instilling these key skills into every member of the Granit team. Robert gained his architectural qualifications at Cambridge and Westminster Universities.

James Munro – Architectural Director
James Munro – Architectural Director
James joined Granit in December 2009 having previously worked for Studio E Architects, Bell Phillips Architects and Shape Architecture, as well as Granit post graduation between 2000-2005. James gained his architectural qualifications at Portsmouth and South Bank universities, qualifying in 2003. With experience in education, housing and sustainable design, he brings a contemporary yet practical approach to all projects in the office. His responsibilities in the practice include taking the lead on projects with both our private and commercial clients, as well as business development, HR and marketing.

James is a member of the Green Register and the AECB, both promoting best practice in terms of sustainable and low energy use design in new and refurbished buildings.


Tom Vincent – Architect
Tom Vincent – Architect
Tom joined Granit in 2011 having working previously on Education schemes for ARINA Consulting in Sydney and conservation work for Woodward AP in Bristol. Tom studied for his architectural qualifications at the University of Bath and UWE, where he was nominated for the President’s Medal Silver Award. Since joining Granit Tom has been responsible for job running some of our high profile residential projects including Pelham Road, Melrose Gardens and Briarwood Road, as well as looking after our commercial developer clients. Tom passed his part 3 exams from Westminster and qualified as an Architect in October 2013.
Tim Palgrave – Architect
Tim Palgrave – Architect
Tim has been with Granit for nine years, and is one of our most experienced member of staff, during which time he has worked on luxury homes and commercial developments. Tim has also achieved his Part II architectural qualification while working with the practice. His qualifications have been gained at Portsmouth and Kingston Universities. Tim qualified as an Architect in November 2014.
Emily Osler – Architect
Emily Osler – Architect
Emily gained her architectural qualifications at the Glasgow School of Art’s renowned Mackintosh School of Architecture. Her architectural influences are Alvar Alto, Peter Zumthor, Caruso St John and David Chipperfield due to their ability to use materials sensitively, blending old and new, and how they use light in interesting ways. Since joining Granit, she has worked on a number of our private client residential projects and assisting with marketing for the practice, including the recent 25 year book. She qualified as an architect in November 2014.
Ben Hawkins – Architect
Ben Hawkins – Architect
Ben joined us in August 2012. He started his architectural studies at Oxford Brookes University, followed by a Masters in Architecture at the University of Edinburgh. As part of his Masters, Ben undertook a two-year project focusing on Venice, with his work exhibited at the Venice Architectural Bienale. Ben qualified as an Architect in July 2015 and is responsible for running many of our private client projects, as well as CPD programme for the office.
Pip Phillips - Architect
Pip Phillips - Architect
Pip studied for his Part 1 & 2 architectural qualifications at the University of Westminster. His interest in architecture stemmed from his grandfather who was an Architect and worked extensively in London and Hong Kong. This provided him with the opportunity to explore and appreciate the way design can affect how we, as individuals, experience a space and how it can influence behaviour. Before going into architecture Pip studied art and design where he developed an interest in furniture design. He also trained as a carpenter and has previously set up his own retail business where he oversaw the design and installation of two shop interiors. Having joined us from Fosters and Partners in 2015, Pip is now working towards his Part 3 qualification.
Vicki Wilson - Interior Designer
Vicki Wilson - Interior Designer
Vicki joined us as an Interior Designer in October 2014. Vicki has a wealth of interior design experience having previously worked for London based designers Studio Reed, Louise Bradley, Blacksheep Creatives and Johnson Naylor. Vicki will assist with the full design process with both our private and commercial clients.
Linzi Kettle – Interior Designer
Linzi Kettle – Interior Designer
Linzi joined us as an Architectural Assistant after graduating from De Montfort University in July 2012. She has been employed by two architect practices prior to Granit, mostly working on residential projects. She is interested in projects with a strong emphasis in interiors and is assisting Vicki with the development of the practice.
Mantas Gaigalas - Architectural Assistant
Mantas Gaigalas - Architectural Assistant
Mantas joined in September 2014 after having gained a first-class honours degree in Architecture from the University of Portsmouth. He has a love for timber architecture and has gained practical experience on site in the UK and at home in his native Lithuania.
George Hutchins - Architectural Assistant
George Hutchins - Architectural Assistant
George studied architecture at the University of Portsmouth and graduated with a First Class Honors in 2015. He was awarded the prize for Best Drawings in BA3 Architecture. He has previously studied fine art, mainly focusing on portraiture through painting and drawing.

George expresses an Interest in sustainable design and how we can utilise the environment to influence the way a building is designed. He is also interested in landscape architecture and how the spaces in-between can be just as important as the architecture itself.
Gina Andreou - Architectural Assistant
Gina Andreou - Architectural Assistant
Gina studied her first year of her Part 1 BA Honours in architecture at Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris; her second and third year were spent at the University of Westminster. Gina graduated tin 2015.

She is particularly interested in model making because of the relationship it allows you to have between your hands and cardboard. You’re able to experience volumes more vividly and reflect upon them much more creatively. She particularly favours the work of Tadao Ando due to the imposed presence of his projects.
Georgia Hamilton - Architectural Interiors Assistant
Georgia Hamilton - Architectural Interiors Assistant
Georgia studied Interior Architecture at the University of Portsmouth graduating in 2015. She has previously worked for textile brand Akin & Suri who helped her to understand the softer side to interiors through the use of fabrics and textiles.

She believes interior design is incredibly important to making a house feel ‘homely’ as the right choices can affect how people move through a space. Georgia particularly loves the work of Suzy Hoodless, as she incorporates fun, bold colours, shapes and textures into timeless designs creating an exciting home.
Issie Ryans – Studio Manager
Issie Ryans – Studio Manager
Issie joined us as office manager in April 2012. She has previously worked for Evoenergy, a provide of renewable energy solutions and will be assisting us with business development, as much as the admin side of running the office.
Andrada Pintea - Administration Assistant
Andrada Pintea - Administration Assistant
Andrada has also joined us as part of our studio management team, and will work alongside Issie to help with the smooth running of our practice on a day-to-day basis. Andrada has a degree in Psychology.
Andy Bargery – Marketing Manager
Andy Bargery – Marketing Manager
Andy has worked on Granit’s marketing and communications since 2006. His career includes spells in marketing for Compaq and Walkers Crisps, along with working at various London PR agencies. He holds a BA (hons) Business degree and the CIM Post Grad Diploma.
