Emily is one of our Associates reflecting her experience and responsiblity within the company. She gained her Degree and Diploma from the Mackintosh School of Architecture (the Mac), at The Glasgow School of Art, qualifying as an Architect in 2014 from the University of Westminster (with distinction no less). At Granit, Emily has worked on numerous private client projects, including Dunmore Road, Cadogan Gardens, Yew Tree Cottage, Croham Valley, the Printworks and Heath Hill. You could say she has form for new builds that are a mix of glass and timber or brick and metal. Emily is also one of our experts on listed buildings - having worked on all of the different grades. Emily's architectural influences include Alvar Alto, Peter Zumthor, Caruso St John and David Chipperfield, due to their ability to use materials sensitively, blending old and new. Outside the office, Emily is qualified as a ski instructor, but currently spends most of her time desperately trying to refurbish the ‘project’ she lives in, along with being chief Doodle (Granit's dog) sitter.
