Manuel completed his Bachelors degree in Architecture at the University of Portsmouth with first class honours and was awarded the 2015 RIBA Hampshire Prize for Overall student of excellence. He is currently in his final year of his Part II Masters Degree at Westminster University whilst also working at Granit. Architecture has been Manuel's passion since a young age and he endeavours to create designs that are based entirely on experiences. He believes that the aesthetics and details of a space impacts the quality of life of the people who regularly spend time there. We tend to live and work indoors and therefore architecture can profoundly affect and influence our lives. As well as studying for his Part ll, Manuel has gained significant hands-on experience, having worked as an Architectural Designer in three difference practices since his graduation. He is particularly interested in working on private residential projects due to their comfortable scale and the chance they provide to develop a personal connection with the design and build process. These projects allow him to pay absolute attention to detail and explore endless innovative and creative design solutions. Outside of work, Manuel continues to dedicate his time to design in all of its many aspects, including branding, photography and videography projects. He enjoys the continuity of design and the way it runs through so many different areas of our lives, connecting almost everything!
