About Me
Ben is part of Granit's Architecture team and one of our Associates. He is responsible for working on our private client projects and commercial developments. He enjoys the multifaceted role of the architect and taking a project from its initial back of a napkin sketch to the finished building.
An essential part of the process for him is designing for the site and the client; Ben values how a strong client relationship helps build a unique project.
Ben is passionate about his work and has an avid eye for detail, understanding that these particulars bring a project together. Ben gained an Architecture Degree from Oxford Brookes University and a Masters in Architecture from Edinburgh University. He is both a RIBA Chartered Architect, qualifying in July 2015, a member of the Royal Institute of Architects Scotland (RIAS) and an ARB Registered Architect.
Ben values Granit's strong team dynamic and working in an office that continually pushed for great design and strong client relationships.
Ben was initially drawn to the idea of architecture when passing the ARK on the way into London. Ben is a big fan of Gaudi's use of space and colour and Frank Lloyd Wright and Carlos Scarpa's details and use of materials. Away from the office, Ben enjoys being outdoors and cooking, which he finds a great way to unwind and be creative.
