About Me

Rafael joined Granit in the Autumn of 2019 bringing with him 12 years of professional Architectural experience. Having completed his Part One at the University of Westminster, Rafael then worked locally at another South West London Architectural firm. He has a particular interest in sustainable Architecture, an area of the industry that has become increasingly important in recent years. Rafael aspires to be able to practice “responsible architecture, by responding with a sustainable approach to the social and environmental demands of today’s society.” He notes that throughout his studies and career so far he has drawn particular inspiration from Australian Architect Glenn Murcutt and Portuguese Architect Luis Miguel Pereira. Outside of work Rafael enjoys travelling to explore different cultures and their gastronomy, as well as visiting museums and spending valuable time with his friends and family.
