Tom studied architecture at the University of the West of England, completing his Masters in 2018. There he studied how experimenting with coloured light can influence a person’s perception of spaces. Tom is currently studying for his Part III whilst working at Granit. He is inspired by the innovative use of materials and textures, taking influence from Carlo Scarpa and Louis Kahn. He is also interested in how the historical context of a site can inform new design that is sensitive yet contemporary. Outside of architecture, Tom is interested in football and badminton, as well as photography, music and exploring the world.
