How We Work

Granit is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice. We provide a bespoke design service for people who want to create a beautiful home that reflects their style and tastes.

Our clients often find basement works can be overwhelming, or they don’t know where to start.

Our team has over 30 years of experience designing beautiful homes, including basement design and everything else from side returns and extensions, to specifying kitchens, bathrooms and interior design. You can see some testimonials from our many satisfied clients here.

We have a rich track record of designing homes that are perfect for our clients. By working with people, space, light and modern interior design principles we create basements and homes our clients love. This expertise is especially important in basement conversions where there are additional complexities, such as gaining planning permission and creating light, dry and spacious accommodation.

Who you will be meeting

Our architecture team is led by Robert Wilson and James Munro, who collectively have over 50 years of architecture and basement design experience. They work closely with our interior design team too, which enables them to look at a project from every angle.

“The results of working with Granit are superb. I now have some great space for me, my friends and my family. I just need to retire to enjoy it fully!…”

Mr Hywel Jones, Clapham

“At no time do we ever walk into our extension and feel anything other than in love with what’s been created….”

Mr Beri Cheetham, Wandsworth

Our Work

Here’s an example of a basement we recently designed for some clients in Clapham. We were able to find the space for a wine store, utility room and a home cinema:
