Bespoke Staircase Tower Nears Completion

Staircase Tower Design

We are delighted by the progress on our project in Teddington, London Borough of Richmond, to extend and refurbish a large house for a private client including an interesting bespoke staircase tower.

The client’s brief was ” We want to be true to the period heritage of the house, but adding our own industrial-style

The main driver was to create a sensitively inserted contemporary intervention within a traditional setting that helps bring new life to the building. The bold colour choices internally (including the stair itself) juxtaposes the light finishes throughout the rest of the property to create a clear and inviting statement.

The panels were carefully designed in order to accommodate opening windows whilst also creating glazed slots to provide sections of light internally.

Constructed using AluK’s SL52 aluminium curtain walling system comprising 28mm double glazed units and powder coated textured aluminium panels to mimic the colour of the windows and timber detailing on the front facade.
