We have recently gained planning consent from Westminster council for the refurbishment and extension of this ground and lower ground floor flat in Rutland Gardens, Knightsbridge.

The current 2 bedroom apartment is to the rear of a large 5-storey mansion block and is arranged around a central, staggered courtyard.

Our proposal is to rationalise the apartment as a whole, extending the apartment at ground floor level over the existing terrace and reorganise the central stair to create an almost fully glazed central courtyard, with a large living space to the rear and an extra bedroom. Large glazed elements around the courtyard and over the stair will allow as much daylight as possible to flood into the centre of the property.

We will be shortly moving into the detail design of the project with a view to starting on site in 2013.
