We have recently received planning consent to remodel and extend an existing maisonette, in London Borough of Ealing with an extended basement.
The property is a ground floor 1-bed flat, with an existing lower floor void that has the potential to be refurbished and opened up to the lower garden. Our consent, fills in the upper terrace at ground floor to create a new kitchen, living and study area with new bedrooms in the lower area opening onto a new courtyard. To the front a new lightwell will provide light to a 3rd bedroom. A new terrace wraps around the back of the property, accessed from full height glazing to the rear, and external stairs down to the rear garden.
Internally the mainsonette will be refurbished to a high standard, providing our client with a high quality home, and dedicated areas to work remotely, as well as flexibility for our future needs. The project is a good example as to how a seemingly difficult challenge of site levels, and access has been turned to our advantage.
