We are delighted to receive planning permission to extend and reconfigure an attractive Victorian terraced property in Clapham’s Conservation Area.
The existing house suffers from being poorly configured, resulting in a dislocated plan and a dark, cramped property totally cut off from a lush garden.
Our clients came to Granit with the dream of transforming the property into a light and attractive home fit for modern family life. By extending sideways into the rear side return, we will create a spacious and light kitchen/dining area. A glazed roof will flood the space with light and offer views of summer sunsets. A large set of doors will provide the much needed physical and visual connection between the house and garden at the rear. The projecting oriel window with a pivot window will be a fantastic place to sit and enjoy views of the garden.
Our idea is to create a large master suite on the first floor, extending the rear outrigger sideways to provide enough space for a new family bathroom.
