Planning Permission in Hampton, LB Richmond

Planning Permission in Hampton

We have just received planning permission in Hampton for the remodelling of a detached house.

The current rear ground floor extension is of little architectural quality and fails to maximise the potential of the ground floor. The proposal seeks to rectify this by removing this extension and rationalising the layout with a new larger extension and a more contemporary approach.

A flat-roofed extension wraps around a retained first-floor terrace, with a glazed slot over the kitchen area. New large sliding aluminium doors give both access and a strong visual connection between the inside and the garden. The extension steps in the plan, with a set back allowing for a projecting box window, allowing our clients to sit with a book.

The proposals required careful negotiations with both adjoining neighbours and an iterative design process working with the planners at Richmond. We have ensured our scheme minimises any impact to the neighbours and have developed a design that is both sympathetic to and enhances the host property.

Work is progressing on site with the loft works (previously consented to in 2019) and we hope to start on site with the groundworks in Summer 2020. If you are looking to get planning permission in LB Richmond, get in touch.
