We have recently received planning consent and listed building consent to this late 18th century terraced property, in a conservation area of Brighton.
The property is grade II* listed, and has undergone a number of alterations in its history. The proposal inlcudes the removal of a cottage, annexed to the main house in the 1980s and restoring the garden to a usable size, similar to others in the crescent. We are also proposing to create an additional floor on the rear extension, at the level of the half landing between the second and third floors, to contain a new family bathroom, as well as some minor internal alterations.
This sensitive alteration, will look to enhance the building and the wider context of the conservation area.
