Following a lengthy pre-app negotiation with the planners at LB Croydon, we have recently submitted proposals for a new three unit development in Purley, Croydon.
The site, a suburban area of the borough, makes use of the Council’s new policy of encouraging densification of suburban areas, to provide new homes to meet the borough’s housing needs. The mix of units is a three bed flat at basement level, which will be fully wheelchair accessible, a one-bed flat at ground floor level, and a one bed flat at first floor.
The form of the block is conceived as a 2-storey building and a 3rd storey in the roof space. The lower floor opens up onto a lower garden, exploiting the levels of the site. The facades will be finished in a ceramic red tile and a light grey brick podium base. All areas of the flats and amenity space will comply with the London Space standards.
A high quality landscaping scheme, cycle storage and bins will also be carefully considered to provide the best outcome for the future residents.
