Our completed project in Bernard Gardens, London Borough of Merton has breathed new life into a 100 year old dilapidated property. Refurbished over 2 phases, so our client could move in earlier than planned, the brief was to create a modern family home, extending to the rear and maximising the potential of the site. At ground floor a new rear and side extension, using minimal glazed doors and an internal courtyard, floods the space with light – opening up onto a newly levelled rear garden. At first floor, we created a large master suite, with dressing areas and bathroom. The front of the house had been covered in a drab grey render at some point. This was removed, the brickwork repaired, sandblasted and repointed. The effect is a stunning transformation.
