Project Information
We were approached by our client Cavia Kaspia to assist with the delivery of their new private members club and restaurant in Mayfair, London. Acting as project Architect, we oversaw a design team that included Portugese interior design firm Oitoemponto, M and E, fire and CDM consultancy – as well as providing contract administration working with CJN Group contractors on the delivery side.
The original Georgian townhouse had been heavily altered over the years, and required a stuctural rebuild from top to bottom to stabilise the building. Although not listed, there were a number of external and internal heritage assets that needed restoring, and planning consents required for new signage and AC units. There was an extensive and successful negotiation with London Fire Brigade to ensure compliance with Fire Regulations – this included the provision of a sprinkler system across all floors.
Across six floors, we refurbished the building with new dining, lounge and bar areas for the club, as well as private meeting areas, offices and storage areas. The kitchen, WCs and service areas were also upgraded. The eclectic style of the club, and brand, required a high level of finish, and bespoke joinery, unique wallpaper and wall treatments, including specialist plaster, as well as a full FF and E package. This was all coordinated and delivered by ourselves and the various contractors and sub-contractors.
