Project Information
Our client, Merchant Land, got in touch with us in the middle of the pandemic when they were struggling to rent space in their office block on Creechurch Lane. Although there were many appealing elements the communal spaces lacked character and needed something to set it apart from the competition. Granit’s interior design team were asked to work with many of the existing finishes but create a space that captured attention and felt warm and welcoming.
Our proposals included introducing plenty of greenery which is proven to enhance workspaces. Playing off the greenery theme we also introduced a mixture of green colours throughout the space, this included wall colours in a stepped gradient pattern and decorative acoustic wall panels. The wall panels not only add a fun element of colour but also help reduce sounds in this large open space.
An awkward half height wall in the entrance lobby was cut down and reconfigured to form a planter box. We then included several more planters around the space.
Behind the reception desk we specified a timber slatted wall finish with geometric planter boxes. This is a great feature in the space and the natural timber finish works has a perfect backdrop to accent the green elements throughout the lobby.
We were also asked to procure furniture and accessories to stage an office space within the building. The brief in this space was to create a fun colourful collaborative space. Merchant Land wanted prospective tenants to see the potential within their office spaces. With a few items of furniture, artwork and accessories we were able to transform this office into a comfortable and vibrant space.
