We are delighted to share details of our new housing scheme in a conservation area of Kingston.

Granit are working with one of their long term developer clients to transform a shabby site in a prime location, on the fringe of Kingston town centre, into 13 attractive apartments.
The site presented a number of complex and, at times contradictory, constraints to development. As a result, there has been an extensive design and consultation process with the council, London Borough of Kingston, which remains ongoing. The process has involved three separate pre-apps to engage with the council, before a wider community consultation.
As part of a broader design team, Granit have helped to develop a scheme that will deliver much needed energy efficient housing within the borough. The conservation area will be enhanced by replacing a shabby and dilapidated property with a contemporary building that references its surroundings. A scruffy carpark will be transformed into a communal garden with space for children to play. On site renewable technology provides clean energy that will be connected to a district heating network.
Biodiversity will be greatly increased with green roof and green wall as well as substantial planting of trees and shrubs across the site. All of the above has been designed whilst providing the ROI required to make the scheme viable.
The scheme is due to be submitted for full planning in early 2023. Watch this space for more news.
