We have been working on proposals for the wholesale urban redevelopment of Chourmet Grove Car Park in Peckham, South London, inline with Southwark council’s vision to invest in and encourage investment and regeneration in the town centre. Our vision is to create a mixed use site of residential, flexible commercial workspaces and community facilities around the concept of a raised podium structure, The ‘Peckham Ryeline’, allowing commerical pop up units and a pedestrian friendly street to sit above retained parking facilities. A new landmark block, The Gatehouse containing 3 flats, marks the entrance to the site from Rye Lane, replacing a redundant stucture, whilst the bulk of the development utilises the space or air rights above the existing car park. The rear of the site has 5 3-bed houses, whilst The Wedge block contains 10-15 new flats and 2000+ sqm of commercial space.
