James suggested interesting, concrete ideas for problems in the house that other architects hadn’t addressed. For example, we couldn’t raise the roofline, but James found a way to fit in my office, the guest bedroom and the ensuite, even though the practicalities of the loft conversion were complicated.
The design work that’s gone into this house isn’t big and showy, but it is simple, clean and modern. The house has come together much better than we imagined. Granit’s ideas are great, and we wouldn’t have achieved the results we have without their skills and those of Galvin Projects (the contractor) and his team.
