The new layout has really changed the house and given me a much stronger connection to my roots.
We’re really happy here, we just love it. For us, personality and relationships are the crucial ingredients. The cost was important, too, but we felt that if we were going to embark on a project like this then we had to get on with the architect and builder. We would never have visualised this in a million years. That’s the true skill of an architect.
If we were to do the project again, I think we would do it exactly the same; there is not one aspect of the build that we haven’t loved.
